The development of the Energy Performance Score (EPS) will establish a standard protocol to evaluate and upgrade the energy efficiency of existing American residential homes. EPS will educate the public about the energy performance of any home, and encourage a stronger market focus on maintenance and operational costs associated with homes. This will lead to higher quality buildings with increased resale value.
